Stages of Recovery

Made from a lost wax process, initial models made from wax, an investment mould is made with runners and airs, the mould is then fired in the kiln where obviously the wax is lost and the imprint of the sculpture if left. 
once you have the mould you then pour whichever metal you like in and it will take the form of the former wax mould. 
I used aluminium because it light and easily manipulated compered to something like bronze.

I then painted them with black acrylic paint and then again with a think layer of gilding paste foundry bronze is the colour.
